The July 2018 International Potluck event was held at the Prairie Den in downtown Fargo in conjunction with the Fargo TEDx event.
TEDx speaker Hamse Warfa attended the TEDx International Potluck and spoke to the group in attendance.
Warfa is the co-founder and executive vice president of BanQu Inc., an award winning blockchain software company working to connect the poor to the global economy. Hamse has worked at the intersection of community building, philanthropy and social entrepreneurship for more than 20 years. He is deeply passionate about changing the social and economic systems that marginalize and exclude people from opportunities to live their lives with dignity. Hamse is both a Bush Foundation and global Ashoka fellow.
TEDx presenter Sadiyo Hassan, also shared her passion and story with the audience. Hassan, a 2018 graduate of West Fargo High School, talked about the need for transformational change in the tools used by law enforcement. She also spoke about how connections can transform a community and empower others to be more successful.
Finally, we would also like to thank Rugsan Cuisine for bringing delicious sambosas to our event. And also, we offer thanks to all of our wonderful attendees!
