FARGO, N.D. -- The Fargo-Moorhead International Potluck Advisory Committee announced Wednesday, March 11, that it will still host its March event scheduled for Thursday, March 12, at the Plains Art Museum in downtown Fargo.
However, the event will be shortened to 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Additionally, instead of practicing the usual International Potluck tradition in which attendees bring a dish to share with others -- potluck style -- the event’s only food will be served by Adibon, an authentic ethnic local caterer featuring African European gourmet cuisine. All other attendees are asked not to bring food to share with the community.
The International Potluck Advisory Committee decided Wednesday that in the interests of public health due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic it is best only to serve food prepared by Adibon, a state health-inspected commercial caterer.
The March International Potluck will feature the F-M area’s New American entrepreneurs, and the public is welcomed to come celebrate and encourage the work of these businesses that help make the Fargo-Moorhead economy so diverse. After all, the International Potluck’s mission is connecting people through shared food and stories, and the IP Advisory Committee feels it can still honor that mission by holding tomorrow’s event.
Please join us Thursday to hear our New American entrepreneurs share their stories!
Thursday’s event will be at the Plains Art Museum, 704 1st Ave. N. in Fargo. For more information, visit the International Potlucks Facebook page and website at https://www.fminternationalpotluck.com/.
