The Fargo-Moorhead International Potluck organizing committee met, discussed and set the schedule for IP events through the next four months.
The upcoming Potluck events will feature entertainment such as a music festival, a dia de muertos potluck, conversations about border caravans, a collaboration with TEDxFargo and much more. Stay tuned to the IP Facebook page and to this blog for more information.
The next four International Potlucks are scheduled for:
* Wednesday, May 22 -- 6-8 p.m. at Lutheran Socials Services of North Dakota, 3911 20th Ave. S. in Fargo. The May IP will feature the Red River Finns Cultural group. Members will talk about their cultural food and Finnish settlement in the region. Please consider bringing a friend!
* Thursday, June 20 -- 6-8 p.m. at the main shelter in Lidenwood Park, 1712 5th St., in Fargo. This Potluck is a recognition of World Refugee Day, and a celebration of the diversity here in the Fargo-Moorhead area. All are welcome!
* Thursday, July 18 -- 6-8 p.m. at the Prairie Den, 122 1/2 N. Broadway Dr., in downtown Fargo. This Potluck will be a collaboration with TEDxFargo, and more details will come. Come participate in the buzz that is TEDxFargo.
* Saturday, Aug. 17 -- 5-9 p.m. at Woodlawn Park, on Woodlawn Drive, in downtown Moorhead. This will be the International Potluck's annual music festival. There will be music and dance entertainment from a variety of cultures. Please come join us!
Now in its fourth year, the Fargo-Moorhead International Potluck is comprised of a group of people interested in connecting with others through shared food and stories. If you are part of a group that serves the international community here in the F-M region, please share with us more about your group so that we may build a relationship. It's our hope that this group becomes a connecting point and catalyst for people to help each other out.
