Musical Bridges, a cultural educational opportunity that tries to bridge cultures through music and interactive learning, will be offering a musical course about India in July and August in Dilworth. The class is designed for students in first through fourth grades.
The class will be taught by Lisa Parrish who runs “Musical Bridges: Bridging Cultures with Music & Interactive Learning.”
The cost is $50 to $60, but arrangements may be made for students who cannot afford the tuition.
The classes will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays from July 13 through Aug. 10 at the TAK Music Venue, 1710 Center Ave. W. in Dilworth.

The course will cover Indian trade routes, the country’s currency, language, food, and of course, its music. And it will culminate with a student performance Saturday, Aug. 17. The time is yet to be determined.

During class Musical Bridges students “travel the world” in the classroom setting. Through team-based learning, students use music & “S.T.E.A.M.” concepts to complete cultural challenge activities.
“Young minds and hearts are encouraged to be creative, innovative and relative to the people and cultures around them,” reads the organization’s website.
